Edith Mosby

Edith Ann Mosby, 85, Neosho, entered into rest on April 30, 2018 at her home, following a five month illness. 

 Edith was born Sept. 6, 1932 in Anderson, Missouri, the daughter of William J. and Ella Margaret (Leuellen) Hix. She graduated from Pineville High School and was a lifelong area resident. She had worked at Tatum’s Grocery Store for twenty years and then worked at Quality One Hour Cleaners. She was a founding member of the Church of Hope with her husband, Rev. Malcolm Mosby. 

 Edith and Malcolm Mosby were married on December 29, 1951 at Anderson and shared sixty two years together before Malcom’s death on Feb. 21, 2014. She is survived by two children, Cheryl Mosby of Neosho and William Mosby and wife, Lynn of Ginger Blue; three grandchildren, Casey Anderson and husband, Tim of Cedar Rapids, IA; Caleb Mosby of Anderson and Colby Mosby and wife, Jennifer of Ginger Blue; three great granddaughters, Julia Clanton and husband, Andrew; Victoria Anderson and Alana Mosby; one great grandson, Josiah Mosby; one great great grandson, Theren Clanton; an aunt, Maxine Leuellen of St. Peters, MO; brother in law and sister in law, Wayne Mosby and wife, Cathy of Neosho and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Margaret Hix; brother in law and sister in law, Rev. Don and Rev. Myrna Marble; mother in law and father in law, Addaline Hadley and husband, Glen; father in law, Albert Mosby and numerous beloved aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 am at the Tracy Cemetery, Anderson, MO, grandson, Caleb Mosby will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
