Roy James "R.J." McCool, 87, formerly of Noel, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas with his loving family by his side.
He began his journey on April 18, 1931 in Mountain, Missouri born to the late Ben T. and Cynthia (Blevins) McCool. On April 5, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Maggie Nims and to this union five children were born.
R.J. enjoyed fishing and Traveling. R.J. worked as the manager at the Empire Gas Company for 28 years and also worked very hard right alongside his wife in their family business. He lived for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. R.J. always had a smile on his face and story for anyone around.
R.J. is survived by his children, Roy James McCool, Jr. of Pierce City, Missouri, Benjamin Alan McCool and wife, Marsha of Jerome Idaho, Larry Dean McCool and wife, Lisa of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shelley Gilgen and husband, Jody of Southwest City, Missouri, Pamela Gail Morrison of Bella Vista, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren, Stephanie, Tanzy, Benjamin, Jamie, Michael, Rusty, Kassie, Grant, Brad, Rist, Casey, Kyle and Hailey; 12 great grandchildren; as well as a host of family and friends who will dearly miss R.J.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Ramona, Roxie, Dixie, Mildred and Ethel; two brothers, Rufus and Forest
