(From Parker Mortuary)Doug William Burch, age 68, Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Freeman Hospital Joplin, Missouri.
Doug was born March 3, 1952 in Croswell, Michigan son of the late Harry Burch and June Vernier Burch. He grew up in Croswell and graduated with the class of 1970 from Croswell-Lexington High School.
For years he was well known as the owner and operator of Doug’s Auto Repair in Joplin, Missouri.
Doug was a member of the Gospel of Life Tabernacle in Carthage, Missouri. He enjoyed spending his time studying genealogy and the civil war; as well as fishing, grilling, gardening, and spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.
Survivors include his daughter Stephanie Badgley, son-in-law Travis Badgley, and their daughter Oliva Paige of Joplin, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Burch and June Vernier, as well as his wife Tammara Lynn Burch.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 22, 2020 at Jesse Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
