Bruce Bowers

Bruce D. Bowers was born November 20, 1949 in Neosho, the son of Gene and Kathryen (Linton) Bowers. He entered into rest on December 13, 2020 in Joplin, following declining health at the age of 71. 

Bruce graduated from Diamond High School in 1967, where he excelled in basketball. He served his country during the Vietnam War for two years, serving in the U.S. Army. 

Following his discharge from the military, he had worked at Teledyne, Sunbeam and Marco, retiring due to health. He was a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ. 

Bruce is survived by one sister, Linda Southern of Neosho; two nephews, Keith Southern and Chad Southern and wife, Cari; a niece, Stacey Enlow and husband, Rusty and six great nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial graveside will be held at a later date.
