Robin Montz

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Our loving father, Robin Dale Montz, went home to the Lord January 3rd, 2021 following a long illness, at the age of 81. He was born to Pauline Elizabeth (Trostle) and Doyle Francis Montz in Pomona, CA on March 19, 1938.

He was a wonderful teacher in the Santa Barbara, California school district for many years.

He also played piano in various locations, one of which is where he met Ilene Geer and shortly after they married in 1964. The family moved to Missouri in 1977.

He continued teaching in the Neosho Missouri school district and at Crowder College, and playing piano in several Jazz and Big Band groups as well as leading choir at two churches until his retirement. He was honored as Missouri State Teacher of The Year in 1987.

He is lovingly remembered by his children; Keith, Jeannine, Darrell, Jeff, Steve, David, and Michelle, along with their families, extended family members and the many friends he has had the blessings to know. Dad was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Garett Wayne Montz and our beloved mother, Ilene May (Geer). Dad was loved by all that knew him. He always tried to make time for anyone that needed his willing ears and gentle reassuring voice.

Services for Dad will be private. Contributions to honor Robin may be made to Neosho United Methodist Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
