Irene Oller

Irene (Bennett) Oller departed this life for her eternal home on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Irene was born near Buffalo, Missouri on July 1, 1926 to Riley Glenn and Georgia Mildred (Beckner) Bennett. 

Irene married her high school sweetheart, Don Oller, on May 7, 1944. While Don was overseas, she worked for Harold Chapman’s Furniture Co. in Buffalo and then moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1946 where Irene worked for Farmers Insurance Group and Royal Typewriter Co. before moving to Humboldt, Tennessee. 








 In 1969 they moved back to Missouri where Irene worked for Dale Rife, CPA then later KPL Gas Service Co. where she retired in 1989.

Irene was a member of Forrest Park Baptist Church, Joplin. She was preceded in death by Don and infant son, Dewey Glenn Oller. She is survived by a son, Gary Oller, wife Cindy, of Springfield, Missouri, his children, Lisa deLeon (Chris) and Wes Oller (Vanessa); a daughter, Donita Hadley, husband Phillip, of Raymore, Missouri, their children, Kris Ohlson, Nick Hadley (Heather), Kyra Rule (John), Kim Smith (Aaron); and 12 great-grandchildren: Riley and Regan deLeon, Ashlynn and Colton Oller, Kaylee and Connor Ohlson, Melissa, Payton and Dylan Hadley, Colt Rule, and Gabriel and Madison Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Parker Mortuary Chapel, Joplin, Missouri with Pastor Jamie Tickel officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Private interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
