Myrna Knight

Myrna Ann Knight, age 71, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Knight, daughter of Everett Wayne and Margaret (Myer) Maxwell, was born on February 4, 1950 in Webb City, MO. She grew up and attended school in Carthage. 

After she graduated from high school, she was united in marriage to John Knight on June 20, 1968. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage until John preceded her in death on July 31, 2019. 








She was employed at Ajinomoto Foods until her recent retirement after 33 years of service. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her father, Everett Wayne Maxwell; Children, Chris Knight, and his wife, Michele, daughter, April Knight, and her husband, David Choate, all of Carthage; grandchildren, C.J. Knight of Wentague, CT, Ashley Knight, Alexa Knight, Victoria Parsons, Charity Lemus, all of Carthage, Tyler Tankersley of Benton, IL, and Cherisa Charbonneau, of Ft. Walton, FL; and great-grandchildren, Kayson Austin, Dominic Lemus, and Bristol Tankersley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Knight; grandson, Rickey Tankersley; and her brother, Ronald Maxwell.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
