Jo Lewis

(From Parker Mortuary)

Carol “Jo” Roberts-Lewis, age 71, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021.

Jo was born April 2, 1949 in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey to Charles and Vida (Hatcher) Clark. She had lived in the Webb City area for the greater part of her life.

Jo was a family-oriented lady, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren especially around Christmas time. Her view of family extended beyond the immediate though, where if she cared about you, she considered you family.

She was well-known for her welcoming, caring, and giving demeanor where she was always there for those in need. Jo was the kind of person that would do anything for her loved ones without asking anything in return. She also enjoyed playing softball, socializing with all of her friends, and drag racing in her Falcon.

Jo was united in marriage to Jim Roberts in December of 1964 and to this union they raised five children before his passing. She then married Stephen Lewis in June of 2010. He survives.

Additional survivors include her mother, Vida (Hatcher) Clark, of Webb City; her children, Dorothy Wilson and husband, Patrick, of Towanda, Kansas, Cathy Holt and husband, Randy, of Galena, Kansas, Jim Roberts and wife, Angie, of Duenweg, Missouri, and Ted Roberts and wife, Jennifer, of Madison, Alabama; siblings, Richard Clark and wife, Berkeley, of Seattle, Washington, Delores Reeves and husband, Floyd, of Asbury, Missouri, Charles Clark and wife, Kathy, of Oronogo, Missouri, and Cecil Clark of Webb City, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family; as well as her sisters-in-law, May Ann Cottrell and Patricia Bosley and husband, Vern, all of Joplin, Missouri.

In addition to her late husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by her father, Charles Clark; daughter, Carol Jean Roberts; and sister, Dixie Carter.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Birthing Center Church in Webb City with Pastor Kenneth Miner officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
