Mickey E. Mix, 64, of Joplin passed away at home from lung cancer. He attended Joplin schools including Emerson Elementary and Parkwood High School.
He worked as an electrician's assistant in Missouri and Texas and enjoyed reading, Native American culture, hiking, and hunting.
He is survived by sister Cora Mix, sister Julia (Mix) Frazier and her significant other CJ, niece Tomi Mix, niece Jamie (Mix) McCorkle and her family, nephew Jeff Mix and his family, ex-wife Mary Ann Mensing, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Goldie (Lawrence) Mix and his brother, James Mix.
His family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for 10 months of outstanding care.
Arrangements are being handled by Ozark Memorial Cremation with no formal service planned at this time.
