He was born August 12, 1960, in Joplin, Missouri to Cecil and Thelma (Tunnell) Powers.
Jeff worked in the maintenance department for the Ozark Center. He was a loving , devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. He was a fantastic woodworker and handyman.
He was a charismatic person with an infectious smile who could always make people laugh. He loved music, dogs (especially his dog Kinzy and his grandpuppies), fishing, the lake and being outdoors, but he loved his family the most.
He married Pam Shipman on May 2, 1986, and she survives. Jeff is also survived by one son, Dakota Powers; one daughter, Chelsey Klamm and husband Matt; two brothers, Rick Powers and wife Patti, Mark Powers and wife Susan; one sister Pam Stanley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday June 17, 2021, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Gary Wilks officiating. Burial will follow at Saginaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at the mortuary.
