Anna Erickson

Anna Nelle (Mooney) Erickson, age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at her home in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Anna was born, February 3, 1928, in Pioneer, Missouri, the youngest of eight children born to the late Lewis E. Stark and Nellie M. Stewart and raised in Neosho, Missouri.

She and her first husband, Douglas G. (Doug) Mooney moved from Joplin, Missouri to Anderson, Missouri in 1962 where they purchased and operated the Ozark Funeral Homes, Inc. 

After selling the business in 1978, they enjoyed traveling the U.S in their R.V. until Doug’s death, March 17, 1988. Anna moved to Branson, Missouri and resided there until moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas, in March of 2020.

Anna married her second husband, Walter F. (Wally) Erickson in Branson, Missouri. He passed away, March 19, 2008. Anna and Wally were members of the Sanctuary Church in Branson, Missouri where she was active until moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Anna is survived by Sandy (Mooney) Pratt (Bill), Stephanie (Mooney) Irish (Arley); Ron Erickson (Opal), LuAnn (Erickson) Wagner (Joe), Diane (Erickson) Sackey, Jim Erickson, and forty-eight grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Anna was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
