Marilyn Boice

Marilyn Louise Boice, 80, Neosho, entered into rest on July 10, 2021 after several years of failing health. Marilyn was born August 21, 1940 in Kahoka, Missouri, one of seven children, to William Richard Gardner and Alberta (Parsons) Gardner. Her two brothers, Donald Gardner and William (Bill) Gardner, and one sister, Sharon Bergman are deceased. 

Marilyn worked as a bookkeeper for many businesses throughout her life. Marilyn and Ira Everett Boice, Jr. were married June 4, 1958 in Kahoka, Missouri. The family moved from Kahoka to Kimberling City, Missouri in 1981, then to Neosho in 1999. 








Marilyn was a member of Kahoka Christian Church in Kahoka and attended First Baptist Church in Neosho. She loved to read books, work crossword puzzles, paint landscapes, crochet and play dominoes.

Marilyn is survived by her three children, Jasen (Jay) Boice and wife, Jearan of Neosho, Tracy Boice Davenport and husband, Greg of Centralia, Missouri and Bradford (Brad) Boice and wife, Tyra of Galena, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and three sisters, Dorothea Mathies, Joanne Shaw and Willa Doty, all of Kahoka, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.

Per her wishes, Marilyn has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on July 30, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, Missouri. Innichement will take place at 3 pm, July 30, 2021 at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kahoka Christian Church or Neosho First Baptist Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
