(From Clark Funeral Home)Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Gary, age 57, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 9:24 a.m., on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness.
He was born October 10, 1963, in Neosho, the son of Larry and Josephine “Jo” (Norris) Gary. Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Newton County and was a 1982 graduate of East Newton High School.
On May 28, 1988, he married Ursula Barkfelt in Neosho. Ronnie loved the farm life through and through and enjoyed working cattle in addition to running his own trucking business and working as a dispatcher for Larry Gary trucking. Ronnie was a giving soul. He loved to joke around, listen to the older generation tell stories, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and helping children in any way he could, especially with the rodeo.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Ursula, of the home; two daughters Lorelei Mitchell and her husband, Ben, of California, and Hailey Gary of Carl Junction; his parents Larry and Jo Gary of Neosho; twin brothers, Terrell Gary and his wife, Heather, of Granby and Darrell Gary and his wife, Mandy, of Neosho; five grandchildren, KaNayia, Elena, N’yir, Levi, and Tra’von; four bonus grandchildren, Rashawn, Chaedynne, Drayden, and Maylee; three nephews; Dallas, Otti, and Travis Gary; niece Peyton Gary; and a host of family and friends.
His paternal grandparents, Vera and Gene Gary, and maternal grandparents, Mildred “Honey” and Jack Norris, preceded him in death.
