(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Sandra Ellen Coach (meme), Galena , KS, passed away in the early morning of September 7th, 2021 at Mercy hospital Joplin, Mo while battling Covid-19.
Born one of 6 children to parents Dorothy and Sanford Gipson , on August 18th, 1944 in Baxter springs, Ks. She was 77.
Sandra was a life long resident of the Riverton/Galena area. She enjoyed cooking and canning for her family, and was really good at it. She passed her talent on to her daughters. She took pride in her home, planting flowers and doing yard work. She was an amazing Artist that enjoyed oil painting, and creating beautiful landscapes. She won awards in High school and was even featured in the local paper.
Sandra met Robert Louise Coach in 1965. They were married on July 17, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma.
Together they raised 3 children: Shawnda Kristine (Krissy) Qualls, Stacey Layne Coach, Robert Travis Coach.
Sandra is proceeded in death by son, Robert Travis Coach.
She is survived by Her husband Robert Louise Coach, daughter Shawnda Kristine (Krissy) Coach Carthage, Mo and daughter Stacey Layne Coach, Webb city, Mo along with 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family has entrusted Derfelt Funeral Home in Baxter Springs, Ks with the arrangements. Details about services will be posted at a later date.
