Janie Black

Janie Lee Black, 52, of Sarcoxie was called home to Heaven on Wednesday October 6, 2021. She was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on January 31, 1969; the daughter of the late Wesley and Vera (Cates) Cogburn. She was united in marriage in Moro Bay, Arkansas on February 14, 1986 to Keith Black; he survives.

She was a retired RN and a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, Arkansas.

Janie is survived by two sons: Jeremy Black of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Brett Cogburn of Monett, one daughter: Kristan Black of Monett; three grandchildren and several brother and sisters.

Visitation for Janie is being held on Monday October 11, 2021 from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, Arkansas. Funeral services are being held immediately after visitation on Monday October 11, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, Arkansas. Burial will follow services at the Pigeon Hill Cemetery in Moro Bay, Arkansas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
