Effie Pim

Effie Pim, age 94 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

Effie was born January 14, 1928, in Horatio, Arkansas, to W.C. and Nellie Flippo. She was a homemaker and a member of Forest Park Baptist Church of Joplin. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowers, and playing cards and games.









Effie married Frank Pim on April 21, 1945 in Walters, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter C. Flippo.

Effie is survived by two children, Sharon K. Taylor and Larry F. Pim; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Parker Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Randy Pim officiating. Burial will follow at Sterling Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Michael Pim, Tracy Pim, Derek Campbell, Keith Taylor, Grant Ousley, and Jacob Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Freeman Cornell-Beshore Cancer Institute.
