Ethel Lawson

Ethel L. Lawson, 88, of Frontenac, formerly of Pittsburg, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Oakview Estates in Frontenac.

She was born October 6, 1933 at Carthage, Missouri to Russell and Mary Helen (Vinson) Loughry. She moved to Pittsburg in 1954. 

On March 7, 1954, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Clifford Lawson in Carthage, Missouri. Mr. Lawson preceded her in death on July 22, 2001. Mrs. Lawson worked for USD 250 and was a homemaker. Membership was held in the Trinity Baptist Church.








Survivors include a son, Roger Lawson and his wife, Sharon of Pittsburg; two daughters, Lola Nicola and her husband, Dorsey of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania and Wanda Lawson of Titusville, Florida; a sister, Mary Hamilton of Neosho, Missouri and five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her cat George. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a great grandchild.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (March 17) at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Jordan Hodges officiating. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery.
