Josh Boswell

Frank Joshua “Josh” Boswell began his new life on July 11, 2022 at the age of 98 years.

Josh was born near Wentworth, MO, to Dee T. and Edith (House) Boswell on October 5, 1923. He married Bertha Marie Meyer on April 29, 1951. To this marriage four children were born: Cheryl Marie Boswell (Keltner), Frank David Boswell, Nancy Delaine Boswell, Karen Louise Boswell (Haase).








Josh was a farmer, gardener, and an employee at Steadley’s Manufacturing of Carthage, MO. He and Bertha, enjoyed doing crafts and traveling to numerous shows. He wrote many Biblical, Christian-related poems, and enjoyed reading his Bible.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Bertha, daughters Nancy and Karen, brother Oscar, brother Pete (Frances), and sister Mary Lou (Frank) McKee.

He is survived by daughter Cheryl Marie (Richard) Keltner, son Frank David (Rose) Boswell; three grandchildren, Angela (Joe) Keltner-Tranchita, Richard Keith (Erin) Keltner, Joshua (Carrie) Haase; ten great grandchildren, Hailey (Truman), Morgan, Sierra, Gabby, Gideon, Gabriel, Reece, Chase, Britton, Keyleigh, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Josh was a man of great faith. He was a member at First Baptist Church of Sarcoxie, MO. After selling their farm and moving to Springfield, MO, he and Bertha attended National Heights Baptist Church.








Graveside services will be held Monday, July 18, 10:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery located at Interstate 44 and Stotts City, exit 38. Cemetery is on the south side of I-44. A church building is on the site that is visible from I-44.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, 603 N. Main Street, Mt. Vernon, MO, 65712, or the charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
