(From Ozark Funeral Home)Larry Dale Lee, age 74, of Noel, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at his home.
Larry was born July 28, 1949, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Amos and Lois (Baker) Sayre. On September 23, 1973 he was united in marriage to Deborah Jane (Janie) Patterson.
Larry lived at Milan, Missouri where he graduated high school. He joined the Army in 1968, where he was trained as a field artillery radar operator, and went to Vietnam. He was awarded the following commendation medals; National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service, Army Commendation, and the Air Medal.
Larry began his career as a food inspector and consumer safety inspector for the U.S.D.A. in 1972 and moved to Noel, Missouri. He retired after 30 years of service.
Larry loved to hunt, fish, play golf, and do wood working. He especially loved time spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son James Avery Lee, of Noel, Missouri, and his parents Amos and Lois Sayre, of Milan, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, and granddaughter Rowan Lee, of the home; Son, Darin Largent (Jeanene) of Grove, Oklahoma; grandsons, Joshua Largent (Aleisha) of Delta, Colorado, Jareth Lee, of Noel, Missouri, Jayden Lee, of Washburn, Missouri; granddaughters, Codi Woods (Mike) of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Jordan Largent, of Montrose, Colorado; great grandchildren, Haden Bates, Logan Bates, Addie Bates, McKoy Bates, Kyzer Largent, Zyzik Kennen, Xavia and Savannah; one brother, LeRoy Alley (Becky) of Statesboro, Georgia.
Graveside funeral services for Larry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Roller Cemetery in Washburn, Missouri. Pastor JR Morgan will officiate. Jareth lee, Haden Bates, Logan Bates, Mike Woods, Heather Brown and Glenn Hill will honor Larry’s life by serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
