Anna Henson

Anna Marie Henson, age 85, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville. Anna was born on November 28, 1937, in Exeter, Missouri, to the late Rev. James M. Wooten and Jewell (Lauderdale) Wooten. She was a graduate of Wheaton High School class of 1956. 

On June 30, 1956, Anna was united in marriage to Donald Henson in Cassville. She worked for Sears Roebuck for almost thirty years and after her retirement she went on to work for Oxford Home Health Care.








Anna was a member of Central Crossing Women’s Club, Shell Knob Eagles Lodge, Lions Club and Women’s Club in Carthage. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, baking, tending to her flowers, and hummingbirds.

Survivors include her loving husband, Donald Henson, Cassville; one daughter, Kay Ryun, of Nixa, granddaughter, Jessica Morrow and her husband Derek, of Nixa; great-grandson, Braxton; great-granddaughter, Maci; two sisters, Pat Thomas, of Carthage, and Irene Day and her husband DeWayne, of Exeter; two brothers, Glen Wooten and his wife Sherrie, of Carthage, and Kenny Wooten and his wife Sue, of Ironton; sisters in-law, Darlene Wierman and her husband Richard, of Cassville, Irene Bates, of Shell Knob and Dollie Sprenger, of Ozark; brothers in-law, Bob Henson, of Redding, California and Bill Henson and his wife Debbie, of Cassville; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by four brothers, James Lee Wooten, Carroll Wooten, Don Wooten and Dale Wooten; and three sisters Azalee Levy, Helen Quade and Janice Bagby.








Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at White Funeral Home, Cassville, with Pastor Brad Hudson officiating. Burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
