Paul Christerson

Paul Adam Christerson, 54, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Paul entered this life on February 1, 1968 in Neosho, Missouri. He graduated from the McDonald County High School in 1986. 

Paul joined the United States Army after graduation and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska for four years and was honorably discharged in 1990. He was called back for service in Desert Storm, stationed in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. He was honorably discharged again in 1991. Paul then worked building tanks for a time before becoming a hundred percent disabled. He loved playing his guitar and listening to music. Paul especially loved his little daughter, Journie, she was the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, O.L. “Ford” and Rozella Alley; paternal grandparents, Charles and Irene Christerson; his father, Billy Gene Christerson and his brother, David Wayne Christerson.

Paul is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Sue and Jerry Adams; his daughter, Journie LeeAnne Henry; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Interment will be in the Peace Valley Cemetery, with a private service with his family and friends on his birthday.
