(From Holden Funeral and Cremation Service)Raymond Dale Moore, Age 95, passed away January 26, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri. He was born April 3, 1927 in Jasper, Missouri to Edna (Schriver) and Ray Moore.
He served his country in The United States Army in WWII and received an Honorable discharge. In the 1940's Raymond played catcher for minor league's baseball for the New York Yankees.
Raymond was a 1952 graduate of The University of Missouri with a Master's Degree in Agriculture. He also worked at the Chicago Board of Trade and was Owner/Operator of several businesses including; Ava Produce & Feed Company, Table Rock Construction Company and Dale's Flooring.
He was preceded in death by: his parents Edna and Ray Moore; his wife Margaret Lee and two brothers; Harold and Ardell Moore.
Survivors include: two daughters; Daleen Bauer and husband Paul, Lampe, Missouri; Sherry Richard and husband Marc, Shawnee, Kansas. A son: Alan Moore and Johna, Springfield, Missouri.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 3, 2023 in The Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 South Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri with full military service honors.
The family sends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the James River Care Center for the many years of loving care provided to Dale. Also very special thanks to Jerri at Phoenix Home Health Care & Hospice.
