(From Parker Mortuary) William C. Ames, age 75 of Webb City, Missouri, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023 surrounded by his family following a sudden illness. William was born November 24, 1947 in Joplin to the late Bion Ames and Betty Brickel Ames.
Living in Joplin all of his life, William owned and operated Ames Excavating. You could normally see William hanging out with his grandkids at one of their sporting events or finding him hitting balls on the golf course. One thing was certain about William, he cherished his family!
Surviving William include his partner in life, Trish Duncan; daughters, Mandy Duncan, TyDan Ames, both of Webb City, Brandi Picolet of Olathe, Kansas; son, Brent Ames of Olathe, Kansas; brother, Chris Ames; 9 grandchildren, Octavia, Keira, Kajah, DuPree, Malique, Zhaiden, Imani, Olivia and Aliza; 2 great-grandchildren, Khorus and Roman; plus numerous extended family and friends.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Bion Ames, Jr.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. with his grandkids honoring him as pallbearers.
Funeral services are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
