Frankie Wolsey

Frankie J. Wolsey, born on January 31, 1932, in Webb City, MO, passed away on June 7, 2023. A remarkable woman with an unwavering spirit and zest for life, Frankie's story is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness. To quote the great Helen Keller, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all," and Frankie wholeheartedly embraced every adventure that came her way.

Born into a loving family as Frankie Chrisman, she spent her life residing in Carthage, Missouri. An incredibly talented seamstress, Frankie dedicated her career to the Clothing Company, where she brought her unique touch of creativity and skill to each garment she crafted. 








Beyond her professional achievements, Frankie was an avid square dancer and an integral member of her local square dancing club. She was also a proud lifetime member of the VFW in Carthage, Missouri, where she passionately supported the local community and fellow veterans.

Frankie is survived by her daughters, Sharri Smith and Terri Chambell; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Preceded in death by her father, Frank Chrisman; mother, Bulah Chrisman; husbands, Clyde Pendergraft and Norman Wolsey; brother, Richard Chrisman; and granddaughter, Vicki Pendergraft. 








In the words of poet Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Frankie's warmth, kindness, and love will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City.

Funeral arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
