(From Parker Mortuary)Virginia Ann “Ginger” Callaway, age 76, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family & friends.
Ginger was born September 19, 1946 in Phoenix, AZ, daughter of the late Lowell A. Callaway and Thelma P. (Partain) Callaway. She grew up in Seneca where she attended Seneca Schools. She spent her days making those around her smile with her fun spirit. She enjoyed many hobbies, trips in the car, and spending time with her loved ones. She will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by a brother, Gary L. Callaway who passed away on May 22, 1994, and best-friend, Peggy Richey who passed on February 3, 2023.
Survivors include her sister, Deborah Warren and husband James of Webb City; sister in law, Judy Callaway of Overland Park; nieces, Jaime Miles and Alisha Richey; nephews, Gary Wayne Callaway and Scott L. Callaway; 10 great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Mount Hope Cemetery with Pastor Danny Mullins officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
