Glenn Gustin

Glenn Dale Gustin, age 67, Joplin, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.

Glenn was born May 22, 1956 in Pittsburg, KS, and grew up in Pittsburg graduating from Pittsburg High School. He worked for years with Eagle Picher in the maintenance department before ultimately beginning a career in sales ending with Carthage Ford before retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs, helping to care for his father-in-law and fishing. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Joplin.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents who helped raise him.

Survivors include his wife, Heidi Lynn (Schaefer) Gustin whom he married on April 9, 1988; a son, Alex Gustin; grandchildren, Alexios Gustin and Abel Gustin; father-in law, Henry Schaefer; sister-in law, Traci Trujillo; niece, Kaitlyn Archibald; nephew, Noah Archibald; grand-niece, Mina Archibald all of Joplin. Nephew, Dalin Tipton of Spokane, WA.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
