Roy D. House

Roy D. House was born November 18, 1933, in Goodson, Polk County, Missouri, one of seven children to Elbert Russell and May Edith (Estes) House. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 2, 2023, at the age of 89. 

Roy moved to the area from California in 1941, lived in the Stark CIty, Missouri area, graduating from Midway High School in 1950. He then spent a few years in Iola, Kansas, returning to the area in 1963. He spent his life in the agricultural and farming industry. He enjoyed traveling and family time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. 

In 1950, Roy and Patty Sue Marion were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death in 1982. 

In 1985, Roy and Lona ‘Lee’ (Norman) Moore were married, and she survives. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Suzanne Kingsley of Beloit, Wisconsin, Joel M. House of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Paul R. House of Birmingham, Alabama and Sunday Monson of Lawrence, Kansas; four step-children, Kevin T. Moore of Stark City, Missouri, Kimberly A. Brink of Memphis, Tennessee, Kerry C. Moore of Stark City, Missouri and Kenneth L. Moore of Granby, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Eachus of Roswell, New Mexico; fourteen grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. 

In addition to his wife, Patty, and his parents, he is preceded in death by two children, Mark D. House and Sarah House and five siblings.
