Beau Beauchamp

Kay Stephen “Beau” Beauchamp, 93, passed away October 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 27, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, Beau served in the US Marine Corp for seven years as a Staff Sargent. He served in the Korean War as a member of the Chosin Few. After his military service he settled in Chicago where he met and married his wife, Kathleen. In 1966, they moved to Joplin, Missouri from Chicago where Beau worked at St. John’s Regional Medical Center as a
Director of Food Service and Vice President of Administration until his retirement in 1992.








After his retirement, Beau and Kathleen moved to Rogers, Arkansas. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards at the VFW, cooking, going to the lake, spending time with his grandchildren making root beer floats and sharing his words of wisdom with all who would listen.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Kathleen Beauchamp of Rogers, Arkansas and eight children: Paul Beauchamp (Debra Layton) of Bentonville, AR, Kathleen Beauchamp of Joplin, Missouri; Janet Beauchamp of Tyler, Texas. Peter Beauchamp of Joplin, Missouri; John Beauchamp (Crissy) of Weldon Spring, Missouri; Michele Voss (David) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Janell Beauchamp, of Joplin, Missouri; Carol Sondhi (Manu) of Annandale, New Jersey.








As well as nine grandchildren, Alexandra Beauchamp, Barrett Beauchamp, Brooke Mundwiller (Nolan), Lauren Beauchamp, Paige Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Ava Voss, Sohan Sondhi, Julie Sondhi and two great-grand children Addison and Brayden Mundwiller.

Beau will be remembered for his love of his family and country, sense of humor, positivity, and kindness!

A celebration of life will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 1:30pm at Saint Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville, AR.
