Ruby Cupp

Ruby Lee Cupp, of Joplin, MO, passed away on November 13, 2023, in Joplin, MO. Ruby was born on October 9, 1936 in Jasper, Missouri, to the late Seth and Beulah Wigent.

Ruby was a dedicated homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home. Her hands were rarely still, often seen working on a crochet project or sewing a new piece.

Beyond her homemaking talents, Ruby was a storyteller, often sharing tales of the past with her family. Her stories were filled with wisdom, humor, and a deep love for her family and heritage. These stories will continue to be shared and cherished, keeping Ruby's memory alive in the hearts of her loved ones.

Along with her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Cupp; son, Seth Cupp; grandchildren, Jeffery Cupp, Allan Davis, and Tommie Carson; siblings, Pearly Hawkins, Harriet Curry, and Nelly Madison.

Ruby is survived by her devoted children, Karen Crane (Robert) of Joplin, Kristy Carson (Tom) of Joplin, Harrison Cupp (Lynnie) of Carthage, Jeff Cupp (Carolyn) of Joplin, Janie Cupp of Joplin, Lori Callis (Randy) of Diamond, Jai Cupp (Camilla) of Oronogo; 19 grandchildren, 26 great grand-children, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is planned for Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Mo.
