Rusty Peach

(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)

Russell Leland Peach Jr., beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, of Greenfield, Missouri, was appointed to come home unto our Father’s house on February 25, 2024, at the age of 60.

Born on July 11, 1963, in San Jose, California, to Leland Peach and Dorla (Price) Peach, Russell, affectionately known as "Rusty," left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

Rusty always embodied resilience and hard work, diving straight into labor to support his family, he was tasked with the necessary responsibility of becoming a man at a young age. He honed his skills as a craftsman in heavy equipment operation, earning admiration as a man who "loved to play in the dirt." In 1994, he crossed paths with Rebecca Piccinino. They fell in love instantly. They were each other’s rock, soulmate, and best friend.

Upon meeting Rebecca, Rusty eagerly welcomed and lovingly adopted her sons, Justin, Joshua, and Daniel, into his heart as his own. Rusty was a devoted father to them from the moment he met them, they were his sons and he was their dad. Rusty and Rebecca married on July 4, 1999. As a family, they were blessed with a daughter, Savannah (Peach) Polson and their family was filled with love, laughter, and devotion.

Rusty’s greatest joy lay in his roles as husband and father. He was a gentle spirit yet he had fierceness for his family. He was a pillar of strength. With the strength of an ox, he gently crafted relationships. Rusty’s life exemplified boundless love, gratitude, and compassion. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and selfless acts of generosity were a beacon of light in the lives of those around him. Rusty’s unwavering devotion and love inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him- he truly demonstrated what it means to love a neighbor as Christ Jesus taught us.

Rusty was preceded in death by his mother, Dorla (Price) Richards and sister Marcie. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca, their children, son Justin and daughter-in-law Veronica, son Joshua, son Daniel, daughter Savannah and son-in-law Clayton; grandchildren Grace, Vance, and Prestyn; his father Leland Peach and stepmother Brenda, as well as his siblings Marla, Kristi, Joey, Jason, David, Marcia, Ronnie, June, Robert, and Billy.

As the family continues to grieve, details regarding a memorial service will be communicated at a later date. In honor of Rusty’s life, memories and photographs can be shared on this website's Tribute Wall. Additionally, donations are being accepted for Rusty’s wife and children during this challenging time. Donations can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of/russell-peach/donate/.

Rusty’s legacy of love and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched. He has taught us to cherish every moment, to love deeply, and not to take your loved ones for granted. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply cherished and will be profoundly missed.
