Sharon Proctor

(From Bella Vista Funeral Home)

Sharon Lynn (Davenport) Proctor, 85, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, went to her eternal home on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born September 23, 1938, in Sweetwater, Texas.

Sharon, an executive secretary, spent most of her career as an administrative assistant to the superintendent of the Central School District of Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Sharon was a Southern Baptist and a current member of First Baptist Church of Centerton, Arkansas. She enjoyed singing in the choir at her previous church, Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a featured soloist, singing in front of thousands in church, in revivals, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Sharon was a cancer survivor, and after her battle with cancer, unfortunately, lost most of her ability to sing. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking or baking for her large family. Sharon was happiest when spending time with her family in any capacity. She took such a sincere interest in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members. She was a loyal and loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a supportive and well-loved sister and aunt.

Sharon is already missed by her loved ones. The memories and love we have for our wife, mom, grandma, and Grandma Honey will be held deeply in our hearts forever. We can’t wait to see you again.

She was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Alta Mae Davenport of Noel, Missouri; siblings, Louise Herrington of Lorenzo, Texas; Jessie MacDonald of Riverside, California; Dale Davenport of Whittier, California; Lila Lev of Lakewood, California; and Bobbie Walters of Nashville, Tennessee; a beloved son, Blaine Proctor of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; and two sweet children who died in infancy: Shelby Lynn Proctor and Blake Robert Proctor.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of almost 67 years, David Proctor of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three sons: Brett Proctor of Pensacola, Florida; Bryan and wife, Kathy Proctor of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Brandon Proctor of Rancho Cucamonga, California; thirteen grandchildren: Shelby (Dane), Shannon (Nathan), Blake, Dakota, Carson (Brittany), Cheyenne, Macy, Trent, Clay, Brooke, Robyn, Luke, and Jordyn; six great-grandchildren: Paisley, Samuel, Haven, Lainey, Norah, and Bodhi, all of whom she cared for, prayed for daily, and loved deeply.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Foothill Bible Church, 1330 W. 15th Street, Upland, CA 91786 at 11:00 a.m. and officiated by Pastor Joshua Babb of First Baptist Church of Centerton, Arkansas. A graveside service will take place for family and close friends at the Bella Vista Memorial Garden and Cemetery of Bella Vista, Arkansas, date pending.

“His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

Matthew 25:21
