Jerry Leonard

Jerry Leroy Leonard II, a loving father, brother, and Papaw, passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 59. He was born on December 21, 1964, in Normandy, MO to Marilyn Michele Falleur. He grew up in Southaven, Ms but most recently resided in Joplin, MO.

Jerry had a zest for life and a heart full of love. He was a funny and outgoing individual who never met a stranger. He had a passion for cooking and grilling, often inviting family and neighbors over to enjoy his delicious meals. 








Jerry also enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was gardening, fishing, or simply appreciating nature. His favorite place in the world was the Mississippi River, where he found solace and joy.

In the early '80s, he met Amy Leonard, and were married in 1983. 26 years of marriage blessed them with three children— Jeremy, Jennifer, and Jesse. In 2013, he met Jodi Routledge, sharing precious moments and life until present.

Professionally, Jerry dedicated over 20 years to auto windshield repair. His expertise and dedication were greatly appreciated by his colleagues and customers alike.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Michele Falleur.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving children, Jeremy (Patricia) Leonard, Jennifer (Jerry) Johnson, and Jesse Leonard, as well as his adored grandchildren: Jordan (Abbie) Jackson, Jacobe Jackson, Journee Jackson, Tripp Kelly, Keaton Leonard, and Kinsley Leonard. He was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Cohen Jackson. Jerry's sisters, Sheri Sills and Lura Hagemaster, along with his nephews, Jimmy, Jestin (JC), Christopher, James, and niece Marissa, will always hold him close in their hearts.








In addition to his family, Jerry was a beloved bonus dad to Aletta and Amanda, and a cherished bonus Papa to Atticus. His love and support extended beyond bloodlines, touching the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Jerry will be remembered for his warm and caring nature, his infectious smile, and his ability to bring people together. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May his soul find eternal peace.
