Adam Morgan

Adam Ray Morgan, 45, of Purdy, MO, passed from this life on Sunday, May 12, 2024 while at Cox Monett Hospital following a short illness.

Adam was born on November 1, 1978 in Cassville, MO, son of Michael Ray Morgan and Diane (Mahurin) Morgan. Adam finished his schooling in Miller, MO, before pursuing his lifelong career of being a trucker. He had driven for several companies, but most recently was driving for his uncle Jimmy at Back Forty Express. 







Adam loved playing music, playing his guitar, he loved all things Elvis but most of all he loved his family. Adam was a true family man. He always loved to visit with family and friends and had a special place in his heart for his beloved grandchildren. Adam was a member of New Freedom Worship Center in Purdy.

On April 8, 2017, Adam Morgan and Janelle Ohler were united in marriage. Although not nearly enough, they have been blessed with many wonderful memories made together.

Adam is survived by his wife Janelle Morgan, of the home; three sons, Michael Morgan of Cassville, Ethan Morgan of Cassville and Waylon Morgan of Purdy; four daughters, Anastasia Henderson and husband Tate of Crane; Jaden Morgan of Springfield, Karmen Morgan of Purdy and Kori Morgan of Purdy; his granddaughters, Preslee and Adalee Henderson; his mother, Diane Morgan, of Cassville; his maternal grandpa, Kenneth Mahurin, of Neosho; his brothers, Ben Morgan and wife Marcia of Cassville and Jacob Morgan of Cassville; his niece, Jessica Morgan, of Cassville; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and extended family and friends.








Adam was preceded in death by his father, Michael Morgan; his maternal grandmother, Esther Mahurin; and his paternal grandparents, Sammy and Helen Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the New Freedom Worship Center in Purdy, MO. Ben Morgan will be officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, near Stella. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are being directed to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
