Sandra De Spain

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Sandra De Spain, a dedicated and hardworking servant of the Webb City community, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024, at the age of 86.

Born to her parents, Lester and Gertrude De Spain, on August 31, 1937, in Custer City, Oklahoma, Sandra spent her life living out the values of diligence, cleanliness, and orderliness that were instilled in her from an early age.

Sandra and family moved to the Webb City area towards the end of World War II, having briefly lived in both Lamar and Prosperity. Sandra was a woman of great integrity who committed herself to her work as a pharmacy clerk at Bruner Pharmacy in Webb City, a profession she held dearly.

Her dedication was evident in the meticulous care she took in her work and in the upkeep of her home. Sandra found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, from watching her favorite television shows to tending to her yard and engaging in interests around her home.

Never married, Sandra remained passionately dedicated to her family, her work, and her faith in God. In the words of the Apostle Paul, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" (Colossians 3:23).

Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Lester De Spain, her mother, Gertrude De Spain, and her stepmother, Ethel De Spain. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10:00am at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A graveside service will follow the same day at 11:30am at Lake Cemetery of Lamar.

Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home. The family encourages all who knew and loved Sandra to visit www.simpsonfh.com, where they may share photos and memories of Sandra. Her legacy of dedication and hard work will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
