(From Westfield Funeral Chapel)We are sad to announce the passing of our Mother Susann Mathews who died in her home in Rogers, Arkansas, at the age of 80.
Born in Joplin, MO, and raised in Baxter Springs, Kansas, she and her former spouse, Gary Weaver (d. 2021), are survived by their three children: Michelle Elsten, Jayne Jones, and David Weaver, along with 9 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren.
Susann was an excellent nurse, working many years as an ICU nurse in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area where she resided with her life partner Ricky Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her father David (Colonel) Swalley (d. 1976) and mother Helen Chloe Swalley (d. 1994) and her beloved dog Sébastien. A private family ceremony will be held at a later time.
