(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Willis Dalis Julian was born July 17, 1938, in Cedar County Missouri to Willis Newton Julian and Roberta Myrl (Richardson) Julian.
Dalis departed this life on June 18, 2024, at 5:40am, surrounded by his life partner Sharron Pierce of the home and his four children.
He is survived by Sharron Pierce, Jeff Julian and wife Jonna, Gordan Julian and wife Lisa and Jason Julian all from Greenfield, Missouri and his daughter Gena Julian of Springfield, Missouri.
Dalis is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lindsey (Julian) Carlin and husband Carl, Erica (Julian) Shewmon and husband John, Jessica (Julian) Ingels and husband Dylan, Ashton (Julian) Chaney and husband Ethan, Abby Julian, Eli Julian, Wyatt Julian, and Jake Julian; four great-grandchildren, Julian Rowe, Clay Carlin, Griffin Shewmon, and Willow Ingels; one brother, Myrl Dean Julian and wife Dawn of Milford, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dalis is preceded in death by his parents, Willis “Bill” Newton Julian and Roberta “Bert” Myrl (Richardson) Julian; and a sister, Nelda Jane Julian Coleman and her husband Robert “Bob”.
Dalis attended Green Ridge Country School in Cedar County, Missouri through the 8th grade. At the age of 16 he went to South Dakota where he worked on a ranch and later moved to Nebraska to work on a farm. After returning to Cedar County, Dalis worked at the shoe factory in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Later he moved to the Kansas City area after marrying Vadena Read Julian, the mother of his 4 children. At that time, he was employed at General Motors for 10 years.
In 1972 Dalis and his family moved to Greenfield, Missouri, where he purchased Greenfield Ready Mix Company and started Dalis Julian Concrete Construction, where his 3 sons joined him in the concrete business. After 26 years, Dalis retired, passing the business on to his three sons.

Dalis met Sharron Pierce in 1999. They enjoyed traveling to many destinations, loved camping, sight-seeing, and looking for his next John Deere tractor to restore. Once Dalis got tired of staying home, after heart surgery, he purchased a piece of property on 39 highway in Greenfield and constructed a building for his favorite hobby, his love of restoring John Deere tractors. Dalis loved to relax in the shade, while visiting with those who stopped by to admire, view and share his passion of tractors, “tractor talk”! He also enjoyed selling Missouri Bootheel Watermelons at the tractor barn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at White Hall Cemetery in El Dorado Springs, MO. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, morning at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Hall Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
