Doris Rives

Doris May Rives, age 59, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at her home. She was born March 10, 1965, in Geneva, Illinois, the daughter of Richard Carl and Margaret Lorraine (Steffen) Larson.

Doris attended school in Geneva, Illinois. She enjoyed fishing with her husband Scott at Roaring River. Her grandchildren lit up her life and a hole will be left in her family’s hearts. She attended Harvest Church in Aurora.

On June 1, 2017, she married Scott Kevin Rives in San Diego, California. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2023.

Doris is survived by five sons, Anthony Larson and his wife, Jaime, of Cassville, Missouri, Axl Larson and his wife, Audrey, of Ozark, Missouri, Tristen Larson and his wife, Tia, of Springfield, Missouri, Richard Lauffer and his wife, Kelly, of Everton, Missouri and Joshua Larson and his wife, Gina, of Clever, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Uriah, Adalyn, Fynnlee and Lincoln Larson, Kamryn Larson, Jayce Dodds, Alyvia Larson, Anthony and Dylan Dodds; two grandchildren on the way; one brother, Alan Larson and his wife, Lisa, of Mexico, Missouri; one sister, Darlene Sampson and her husband, Jeff, of White Pine, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Richard, and Margaret; her husband, Scott and her first husband, Rick Lauffer.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri.
