Patsy Hutchens

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Patsy Marie Hutchens passed away on August 9, 2024, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. Born on December 27, 1943, in Noel, Missouri, Patsy's life was one made with love, dedication, and a ornery spirit that touched everyone she knew.

Patsy spent her final moments in Anderson, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family and the beautiful countryside she had always adored. She was a true example of a life well-lived. Her journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Luther and Martha (Pratt) Hatfield, and she grew up alongside her brothers, Melvin, Edward, Gene, Jim, and Jack Hatfield, and her sisters Doris Williams and Darlene Mitchell.

The true cornerstone of Patsy's life was her beloved husband, Jerry Hutchens. Their love story was one for the ages, spanning 60 years of marriage, filled with mutual respect, unwavering support, and endless affection. Their story began with a chance meeting in a pool hall and together they built a legacy of love, proudly raising their daughter Jody, and delighting in the joys of their granddaughters, Chaney Mitchell and Bailey Martin.

Patsy's zest for life was evident in her many passions. She had a natural flair for decorating and took great pleasure in refinishing furniture, transforming each piece into something truly special. Her flower gardens showcased her green thumb. Patsy's spirited nature was also evident on the family farm, where she worked alongside her husband and partner in crime. She wasn’t afraid of hard work.

Her dog, Snickers, was a constant companion and source of joy. Patsy's kind and loving heart had room for all creatures, great and small, and her bond with Snickers was a beautiful reflection of her compassionate soul.

Those who knew Patsy will remember her for her spirited nature, her unfailing kindness, and her boundless capacity to love. Many would say she was the perfect combination of sassy and sweet, and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.

As we bid farewell to Patsy Marie Hutchens, we celebrate a life that was truly a gift to us all. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and her memory will be cherished in the stories we share and the love we continue to give.

Patsy's family will hold her close in their hearts forever. Her husband, Jerry Hutchens, will honor her memory each day through the love they shared. Her daughter, Jody Scott (Tim), and granddaughters, Chaney Mitchell (Michael) and Bailey Martin (Justin), will carry forward her legacy.

Pasty will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the lives of those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Patsy, until we meet again.

Graveside funeral services are 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Peace Valley, in Anderson, Missouri with son-in-law, Tim Scott officiating.
