Frankie Gates

Franklin “Frankie” Gates, age 57, of Joplin, MO passed away on September 25th, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Frankie was born in Joplin, MO on June 13th, 1967 to his loving parents Franklin Sr. and Carolyn Gates (Rickey).

In his younger years he enjoyed riding and working on bikes and vacationing with his parents. Frankie had a love for classic rock music, and you would rarely find him without his radio and earbuds. He was generous, polite, and always quick with a hug. He will be missed greatly by his family.

Frankie is preceded in death by his father, Frankie Gates Sr. and his grandparents, Bill and Nettie Gates, and Walter and Bernice Rickey.

Frankie is survived by his mother, Carolyn Gates, one daughter Whitney Lezotte, two granddaughters, Halle and Olivia.

Services will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, October 1st at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, 3701 E 7th St. Joplin, MO 64801 with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:30am.

Burial will be held at Ozark Memorial Park cemetery following the service.
