(From Midland Cremation Society)Bill Watkins was born on February 21, 1949, to Albert and Marjorie Watkins in Oklahoma. He entered Heaven’s gates on November 18, 2024. He retired after working many years as a concrete worker.
He loved to be outdoors. Fishing and hunting were some of his favorite hobbies. Bill loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting and school events. Bill had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of James River Church in Joplin.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda Watkins and his grandson Matthew Watkins. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Crandall, his son Allen Hosp, his son Bill Watkins, his son James Watkins and his wife Christy, and his daughter Gina Watkins. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
His daughter, Amanda, and his grandchildren, Kiley and Jacob, cared for him at the end of his life. The family gives thanks to everyone who cared for and supported him through his illness.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Bill and Wanda were amazing people! The lovetheybshowwd for their grandchildren was awesome. We babysat the kids for years and whenever Bill got off work early he was there to pick them up. Our business was destroyed in the tornado and when we got rebuilt and opened he came by to talk and visit. Prayers for the family
