(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Shirley M. Winnett, 88, of Gautier, Mississippi, formerly of Joplin, Missouri passed on Monday, December 2, 2024, in Gautier.
Shirley was born on January 2, 1936, in Joplin, Missouri. She was a homemaker and a member of the Three Rivers Assembly of God Church in Wade, Mississippi. She and her husband had resided in Joplin, Missouri then they moved to Pascagoula, Mississippi, then moved to Lawrence, Kansas, then moved to Pleasanton, California and then they ended up in Gautier, Mississippi.
She graduated from Joplin High School in 1953.
She married William H. “Harry” Winnett on February 13, 1954, in Joplin, Missouri and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2014.
Survivors include two sons; Terry (Deborah) Winnett of Gautier, Mississippi and Dennis (Linda) Winnett of Dothan, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Winnett of Spring Hill, Tennessee; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; one son, F. Scott Winnett, her parents, William and Eunice Mancill Beeler, two sisters, Jonell Friedheim and Loretta Bruns.
There will be a visitation at 10:00 AM Monday, December 9th with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Mason-Woodard Chapel. The Rev. Bob Winnett will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Interment will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory in Joplin, Missouri.
