Gwenda Snow

Gwenda Lea Cox-Snow, age 58, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Springfield, MO. Gwenda was born in Monett, MO on Sunday, February 12, 1967; daughter of Albert and Helen (Campbell) Cox. She attended Monett High School. 

Gwenda was married to Roger Snow on Saturday, August 17, 1996, in Mt. Vernon, MO and they spent 25 years together before he passed away on October 27, 2021. 






Gwenda worked at Sunbelt Environmental as the human resource and payroll secretary. Gwenda enjoyed life. She loved genealogy, history, museums, reading, antiquing, flea markets, shopping, grave hopping, and camping. Gwenda enjoyed drives in her Cadillac. She enjoyed little things like her tumbler filled with diet Dr. Pepper, M&M's, a porkchop from Colton's Steakhouse, her house robe, playing Solitaire, a word game on her phone, and her beloved dog, Sasha. Gwenda was fun to be around and had a contagious laugh. She loved her family and enjoyed doing anything with them. She was always giving them hugs and talking to them. Gwenda will be missed by many.

Gwenda is survived by her three children, Derek Eden (Gina Browder) of Carthage, MO, Desirea Eden (Jared Cooley) of Springfield, MO, and Kamron Snow (Dakota Washburn) of Hartville, MO; two grandchildren, Harley and Cayden Eden; her mother, Helen Cox of Monett, MO; and four siblings, David Cox, Debbie McGilvry, Angela Coones, and Melinda Meredith; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gwenda was welcomed to heaven by her husband, Roger Snow; her father, Albert Cox; and a sister, Diane McCracken.








The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Friday, March 7, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Monett I.O.O.F. in Monett, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
