Kay Shuey

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Kay Sue Shuey, 85, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1939, in Neosho to Ray and Pearl (Marble) Bogle. A lifelong resident of the area, Kay graduated from Neosho High School and made her home and career in the community she loved.

On June 23, 1961, Kay married the love of her life, Lester Lee Shuey. Together, they shared nearly six decades of marriage until Lester's passing in 2020. Kay and Lester shared a spirit of adventure and a love of travel. Whether driving their RV across the country with her convertible Mustang in tow or exploring the U.S. and Canada on their Goldwing motorcycle, they made countless memories together on the open road.

Kay was a devoted beautician for 48 years. She began her career working with her Aunt Ruby at Ruby's Beauty Shop, eventually taking over the business after Ruby's retirement. She took pride in her work and cherished the relationships she built with her clients over the decades.

Family was the cornerstone of Kay’s life. She found great joy in spending time with her loved ones and looked forward each year to the Marble/Bogle family reunions, which held a special place in her heart.

Kay is survived by her son, Kenny (Rhonda) Shuey of Neosho, MO; her sister, Karrie Jo (Gordon) Williams of Neosho, MO; two grandchildren, David and Kayla; and five great-grandchildren, and her best friend Sharon Hopper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Pearl Bogle; her husband, Lester Shuey; and her daughter, Rhonda.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the same location, with a graveside service to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kay to Faithful Friends, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.

Kay’s warmth, strength, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
