Micah Curry

Micah Paul Curry, 39, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. 

Micah was born on December 29, 1985, in Joplin, Missouri, to Richard Curry and Karen Lillard. He has lived in the Jasper County area his whole life and worked various jobs over the years. He enjoyed cooking and he started to get better over time. He also loved building and participating in tractor pulls.

He was united in marriage to Shena Bruce on July 15, 2023, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas; she survives.
Along with his wife Shena, he is survived by his son, Jaxon Curry of the home; daughter, Addyson Curry of the home; father, Richard Curry of Reeds, Missouri; stepfather, David Lillard of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; six brothers, Matt Sisk of Riley, Indiana, Chris Sisk of Granby, Missouri, Nik Lillard of Anaheim, California, Eric Stanley of Carthage, Cameron Fraizer, of Carthage, and Larry Hudson of Carthage; four sisters, Heather Johnson of Carthage, Jenna Kee of Reeds, Von Dye of Webb City, Sandy Hudson of Carthage; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles whom will all miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Karen Lillard.

There will be a service for Micah at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. The visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Ulmer Funeral Home. The burial will be at Fasken Cemetery following the service.
