(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Peggy L. Allen, age 86 of Joplin, Missouri passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Peggy was born on January 18, 1939, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She married her husband, Don Allen, on December 18, 1960, in Houston, Texas, where they met at Southern Bible College.
Together they served as missionaries to Haiti for 8 ½ years before moving to Missouri. Peggy enjoyed her career as editor at the PCG Headquarters in Joplin later known as Messenger Publishing.
She was a member of Joplin Family Worship Center in Joplin, Missouri.
Peggy enjoyed oil painting, gardening, traveling and finding beautiful scenes to paint, and she was involved with the Ladies Prayer Meeting at the church

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Don, her son; James Allen of Greenville, Texas, her daughter; Jan Allen-Garner of Joplin, Missouri, her grandchildren; Philip Allen of Dallas, Texas, Jessica Garner Robertson and her husband, Bryce of Liberal, Missouri, Amber Mason of Hiland Village, Texas, her great grandchildren; Hayes, Hardin, and Ramsey Robertson, and Zane, Benjamin, and Jarret Mason.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; Edwin and Mildred Paige of Garber, Oklahoma.
She was a member of Joplin Family Worship Center in Joplin, Missouri.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, at Joplin Family Worship Center in Joplin located at 5290 E. 7th St., Joplin.
There will be a visitation from 6:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Joplin Family Worship Center in c/o of the mortuary.
