Christy Plummer

Christy Dawn Willis Plummer left this world on January 21, 2026, at the age of 46, at her home.

Christy was born August 15, 1979, in Neosho, Missouri to Richard Eugene Willis and Jacqueline Kay (Carnes) Schmidt. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1997 and earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Hospitality & Restaurant Management from Southwest Missouri State University in 2001.







Christy built her life around taking care of people through food, organization, and a skill of hospitality. She spent her career in the hospitality industry, working at Crabby’s in Joplin, Missouri, and later helping open the Crabby’s location in Rogers, Arkansas. She remained in hospitality management until her death.

Outside of work, Christy loved cooking, cats, and organizing events. She had a talent for pulling together gatherings that would make lasting memories to those who were privileged to experience the talent she had.

Christy was survived by her husband, Cory Plummer; her father, Richard Willis, and wife Glenda of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her mother, Jackie Schmidt, and husband Roger of Neosho, Missouri; and her seven siblings: Kelly Willis of Neosho, Missouri; Heather (Wayne) Vance of Neosho, Missouri; Allen (Kim) Schmidt of Neosho, Missouri; Curtis (Elisa) Crabtree of Winchester, Tennessee; Michael (Jayme) Crabtree of Gillette, Wyoming; Sheila (Everett) Riley of Clayton, Oklahoma; and Sharon (Terry) Foster of Coweta, Oklahoma. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. 








She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bob and Marjorie Carnes.

She was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Gene and Delores Willis.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, in Neosho, Missouri.
