(From Parker Mortuary)John Everett Hamilton, born September 24, 1948, passed on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
John spent most of his life as an over the road truck driver, which he retired from. In 2015 he continued a life filled with his true love, Mary Hamilton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending quality time with his family.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Pearl (Witt) Hamilton; and two sons, Heath Hendricks and John Earl Hamilton.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Mary Hamilton, of the home; three children, Brian Hendricks and wife, Lisa, of Weir, KS, Jason Hamilton, of Duenweg, MO, and Susie Olds and husband, Shane; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
John took great pride in teaching and mentoring all his children and grandchildren.
“Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway,” “A man's got to do what a man's got to do,” and his belief that “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life,” were some of John’s favorite quotes from John Wayne.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
