Steven Lynn Cooper, age 78 of Carthage, passed away on Sunday February 22, 2026 at his home with family at his side. He was born on November 18, 1947 in Webb City, Missouri to Cecil Lynn Cooper & Pearl Mae Looney (Petefish). 

Steve was a heavy equipment operator and also had a business of spinning pipes for RC boats. He was a member of Alba Friends Church. Steve married Janette Weeks on October 3, 1984.

He is survived by his wife Janette of the home, daughter Beth (Randy) Morgan of Carthage, Son Steven Lynn (Debra) Cooper Jr of Carthage, son Dustin Kisling of Carthage, son Zach (Leslie) Holden of Carthage, daughter Pam (Ben) Miller of Webb City, sister Debbie (Bryant) Davis of Pittsburg, KS; Grandchildren, Emily (Tom) Furrh of Carthage, Noah (Lizzy) Smith of Carthage, Sydney (Hayden) Swinehart of Carthage, Sammi (Nathan) Percy of Carthage, Tiffani (Parker) Sockwell of Webb City, Steffani Roberts of Neosho, Alyssa Cooper of Carthage, Kaitlyn Cooper of Carthage, Rachel Miller of Searcy, AR, Naomi Miller of Webb City, T.J. (Alexis) Morgan of San Antonio, TX, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Steve is preceded in passing by his granddaughter McKenzie Kisling.

A Visitation will be held Thursday February 26, 9am at Alba Friends Church (110 Berry st, Alba, MO), there will be a Memorial service to follow.
