Don Shilling

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Clarence Donnel "Don" Shilling, age 92, passed away on July 30, 2026, at Communities of Wildwood in Joplin, Missouri.

Don was born on February 5, 1934, in Tipton Ford, Missouri, to Clarence and Waunita (Yost) Shilling. In June of 1954, he married Evelyn McDaniel, and together they built a loving home while raising their three sons.

Don dedicated his career to serving the people and natural resources of Missouri as a Missouri Conservation Agent. He had a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and found great joy in nature, hunting, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dale Shilling.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn Shilling; his sons, J.D. Shilling and wife, Jennifer, Wray Shilling, and Jeff Shilling and wife, Kelly; his sister, Janice VanDorn and husband, Richard; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
