Neil Roller

Neil Curtis Roller, 48, of Monett Missouri, died on Sunday, August 30, 2026, after a catastrophic stroke. He was born on October 19, 1977, in Monett, Missouri to Curtis and Pam Roller and lived his childhood years in Purdy. He graduated from Purdy High School in 1996. In February of 2004, he met his future wife, Sarah Weber, through mutual friends. They married on October 11, 2014. On March 9, 2018, he became a father to their daughter, Katherine Ruth Roller.

Neil worked at Jack Henry doing things that none of his family really understood. His official job title was CPS Technical Install Support Engineer, Senior (whatever that means). In layman’s terms, he did something with ATMs.

Neil was a helper. No matter who needed help or what they needed, he was there to help. Family, friends, and colleagues turned to him for help, advice, and support. He was never too busy to drop everything and help. Neil was a genius at fixing things. He would break things for the sole purpose of putting them back together. He hated sitting still and was always in search of a project.

The thing that Neil was best at was being a Dad. He was the fun parent, the goofy parent, the rambunctious parent. Whether it was making doughnuts, playing video games, fixing things, 3D printing stuff that always made Sarah say “why are you 3D printing random things?”, or wrestling on the couch, Neil and Katherine were inseparable. There was always room on Neil’s shoulders for Katherine.

As a final act of selflessness, Neil registered to be an organ donor. That was his dream and that is who he was: a helper and a hero. His family did not get their miracle, but many other families got their miracle because of him.

Neil is survived by his wife, Sarah Roller, his daughter, Katherine Roller, his parents, Pam and Curtis Roller, his sister Jennifer Robbins and her husband Cecil, his brother Erik Roller, and his nieces and nephews, Colby Robbins, Bayleigh Robbins, Bentley Stephens, Madison Robbins, Karey Anderson, Oren Roller, Luna Roller, and Aries Roller. Neil is a father, husband, son, brother, and friend that can never be replaced. He is his family’s hero and will be greatly missed.


Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church. Reverend Mitch Jarvis will officiate. Interment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery, Monett. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Memorial contributions have been requested to Katherine Roller Educational Fund in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
